Carpool Buddy collects information about you when you use our mobile application. This information is used to match carpools and for carpools to learn about you.

This Privacy Statement (“Statement") applies to persons anywhere in the world who use our apps or Services to request transportation, delivery, or other on-demand services (“Users”). This Statement does not apply to information we collect from or about drivers, couriers, partner transportation companies, or any other persons who use the Carpool Buddy app under license (collectively “Drivers”). If you interact with the Services as both a User and a Driver, the respective privacy statements apply to your different interactions.

INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO US

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create or modify your account, contact customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. This information may include: name, email, phone number, postal address, profile picture, and other information you choose to provide.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT THROUGH YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES

When you use our Services, we collect information about you in the following general categories:

- Location Information: When you use the Service, we may collect location data about the trip from the Carpool Buddy app used by the Driver. We also can access your current location, to get the zip code.

- Contact Information: We access your contact information (such as phone number and email).

- Personal Information: We have access to any personal information that you provide to us.

- Transaction Information: We collect transaction details related to your use of our Services.

- Usage and Preference Information: We collect information about how you and site visitors interact with our Services, preferences expressed, and settings chosen.

- Device Information: We may collect information about your mobile device, including, for example, the hardware model, operating system and version, software and file names, preferred language, unique device identifier, advertising identifiers, serial number, device motion information, and mobile network information.

- Call, SMS, and/or Email: Users can communicate with each other by calling, SMS, and/or Email.

- Log Information: When you interact with the Services, we collect server logs, which may include information like device IP address, access dates and times, app features or pages viewed, app crashes and other system activity, type of browser, and the third-party site or service you were using before interacting with our Services.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM OTHER SOURCES

Currently we do not collect information from other sources. In future we may collect information from sites such as Linkedin or Facebook.

We may use the information we collect about you to if needed for anything related to this Service.

THROUGH OUR SERVICES

The information you provide is shared with other users who access your profile.

You may correct your account information at any time through the Carpool Buddy App. If you wish to delete your profile, please email us at support@smartlifedigital.com.

ACCESS RIGHTS

Carpool Buddy will comply with individual’s requests regarding access, correction, and/or deletion of the personal data it stores in accordance with applicable law.

LOCATION INFORMATION

We request permission for our app’s collection of precise location from your device per the permission system used by your mobile operating system. This is currently used to access the zip code you are currently in.

CONTACT INFORMATION

We may also seek permission for our app’s collection and syncing of contact information from your device per the permission system used by your mobile operating system. If you initially permit the collection of this information.

YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

California law permits residents of California to request certain details about how their information is shared with third parties for direct marketing purposes. SmartLife Digital and Carpool Buddy do not share your personally identifiable information with third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes unless you provide us with consent to do so.
